CreatiVets’ mission is to empower wounded veterans to heal through the arts and music. We do this through programs offering creative expression as a means to process trauma, reduce isolation, and build community. Our arts-based programs, including music, songwriting, and visual arts help veterans cope with the emotional and psychological effects of service-related trauma such as PTSD and traumatic brain injury (TBI).

What you may not know is that veterans are one and a half times more likely to commit suicide than civilians. This is a tragic statistic. Furthermore, based on data from the Department of Veterans Affairs, in 2020 (the most recent year with available data), 17 military veterans died of suicide per day. This figure does not include National Guard or Reserve members, which account for more than two additional suicides per day.

These alarming numbers indicate just how critical it is that we support our veteran men and women. The programs offered by CreatiVets introduce veterans to healthy and effective ways to address their experiences without medication or substances. While all donations help support our veteran programs, you can help increase you impact with a monthly gift. With a monthly donation of only $10, you will help our veteran heroes heal their unseen wounds of war through the power of art and music.

With a gift of:

- $10/month your donation will provide all meals for a veteran during our Nashville songwriting program

- $25/month you will pay for a flight for a military veteran to attend either our art or songwriting programs

- $50/month will cover the cost of lodging for a veteran at one of our programs
